Vrindavan being a city of temples attracts thousands of devout pilgrims from various parts of the world. It also attracts many thousands who wish to lead a mendicant’s way of life living simply, focusing on the highest essence of goal of life worshipping the Supreme Lord in pure devotion. These are sadhus or those who have left the comforts of their homes and are devoted to attaining their eternal roots. Many have resorted to this life due to understanding the futility of material pursuits, some have been forced due to economic situations, while some others due to genuine understanding of the ways of renunciation and knowledge seek to take to the fourth and the exalted way of life the life of a sanyasi. Whatever be the circumstance due to which these sadhus came to the shelter of Vrindavan, they are indeed blessed to be there.

Besides the sadhus there are pilgrims who come from all walks of life in the hope of having the darshana of the Lord is his various temples and get solace. And then there are those who are in the dham rendering simple services like riding a rickshaw for pilgrims or cleaning the streets and important places in Vrindavan.


Hare Krishna Movement Vrindavan wishes to support the sadhus, the pilgrims and those who are part of the bottom of the pyramid of the society by providing simple, clean and nutritious meals to them during the mid-day. A wholesome lunch will support these in their own endeavors and thus provide them all key support for their lives.
HKM-V has been distributing these meals since 2010.
It is currently serving these meals in some of the key locations of Vrindavan where the sadhus, pilgrims and other needy people assemble and receive this wholesome lunch very happily.
